Running a Test Cycle
Most Bosch dishwashers have a diagnostic test cycle which can be run as a troubleshooting measure. To start a test cycle, press and hold the WASH and ECO buttons (may vary between models) and press the dishwashers ON/OFF button. Let go of the buttons and the lights above them should flash. You can now check the status of each dishwasher program by pressing the programs button. Now, to start the full test, press the WASH and ECO buttons again. When the dishwasher cycle has ended, the display should show one of the following error codes - |
-
0 - No errors detected.
-
1 - Aqua (water) sensor fault.
-
2 - Heating fault.
-
4 - Filling fault (can also appear as F during normal cycle).
-
8 - Temperature sensor fault.
In addition, if the water level sensor has failed, the display will show fault code 4 and the dishwasher will keep filling and draining and the test won't be completed. If the flow switch has failed, the display will show 0, water won't heat to the required temperature and water wont stop circulating. If the temperature sensor has failed, the display will show fault code 8 immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.
